MAKE FACEBOOK PRIVATE THROUGH SMARTPHONE 

 

Open the Facebook application on your smartphone to land on your home feed, locate three horizontal lines on the bottom page of your screen – tap on them to reveal a menu of options. In these options must be Settings and Privacy section – tap it to open its sub-sections. Click on the Privacy shortcuts sub-section, then click on See more privacy settings. You will now see a screen with options to change who can see your posts, activity, or photos. Go to each option; change the option to Only Me to make Facebook private entirely or Friends if you want just your friends to see the future posts. Similarly, change this under every option to make your profile private. 

 

MAKE FACEBOOK PRIVATE ON DESKTOP

 

Open www.facebook.com and log in with your correct credentials. Locate the downward arrow on the top-right corner of your screen. Then click on it to reveal a drop-down menu. Now, click on Settings in the menu and locate the Privacy option in the left menu. Directly, change who can see your posts in the Your Activity section and How People Can Find You and Contact You to Only Me for total privacy or Friends – as per your preference.

 

HOW TO HIDE MY PROFILE?

 

To hide Facebook account:

  1. Open www.facebook.com on your desktop browser.
  2. Locate the downward arrow and click on it to reveal a menu.
  3. Click on Settings & Privacy, and then click on Settings.
  4. Select Your Facebook Information from the options in the column on the left.
  5. Locate and select Deactivation and Deletion.

 

If you temporarily want to hide Facebook account, click on Deactivate your account, then select Continue to Account Deactivation. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.  

 

 HOW DO I CHANGE MY PHOTOS’ PRIVACY?

 

Click on your profile picture, click on photos, and then click on Albums. All your albums should appear on the screen. Now to change your images to Facebook private photos, click on the three dots and select Edit Album. Choose your privacy settings; Friends, Friends of Friends, Everybody, or Only me as per your convenience. Finally, choose Save.
